How does UV-C technology kill or inactivate viruses and bacteria?

UV-C is short-wavelength ultraviolet light. This radiation has been proven to kill or inactivate microorganisms by destroying their nucleic acids , leaving them unable to perform vital cellular functions.

PAC UV Carelight air-conditioner integrates a UV-C LEDs module between the evaporator heat-exchanger and the air fan. The UV-C light emitted by the LEDs module kills microorganisms as the air inside the appliance is directed back into the room after having been cooled down, dehumidified or simply ventilated.
