The Red Dot is inarguably the most important and widely recognized of all design awards. The prestigious award is an international product design and communication design prize awarded by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany, since 1955. There are prize categories for product design, design agencies, and design concepts. Winning products are presented in the Red Dot Design Museum on the premises of the historical Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen.
In 2019 both the De'Longhi La Specialista and 3-in-1 Specialty Brewer have been picked as winners of this prestigious award.
