An asterisk * symbol flashes on the display, and the Evaporative cooler is not coolig very well. Why is this?

Please check the water tank. It may be empty and requires filling.

Extract the water tank and fill it with fresh tap water take care not to exceed the MAX level visible, and reinsert the water tank.

The unit will continue to operate normally.
