What are the considerations in using a portable air conditioning unit?

Portable air conditioners are extremely versatile units that can be easily moved from one room to another. They are ready for use without installation. However, it is necessary for the machine to be placed near a window or door to allow it, through the tube provided, to remove hot and humid air from the air conditioned room to outside.

How often should I drain my portable air conditioner?

Our portable air conditioners are designed to be drained at the end of the season. The units will use water collected from the humidity in the room to cool the condenser (the hottest part of the appliance) allowing for maximum efficiency.
However, in extreme humid conditions, the unit may require to be drained more often.

Do portable air conditioners also dehumidify?

Yes, all air conditioners dehumidify. Lowering the temperature automatically means lower humidity in the environment. To stay comfortable, it is not enough just to lower the temperature, but it is equally important to lower the level of humidity in the environment.

What is “Real Feel”?

De'Longhi "Real Feel" Technology is an innovative technology that guarantees a high level of comfort.
This technology works simultaneously with the temperature and the relative humidity to find the optimum level of comfort. Once achieved, the machine automatically modulates the action of the compressor and the fan speed to keep them at the correct levels.

What is EER?

  • EER stands for Energy Efficiency Ratio.
  • The energy efficiency index indicates the ratio of the cooling capacity and power consumption.
  • EER determines the energy efficiency class of the machine.
However, portable air conditioners are not regulated by the Department of Energy (DOE) so this does not apply to portable air conditioners.

How do "Air to Air” models reuse water?

Most of our portable air conditioners use the collected condensation, which is sprayed onto the condensor, to accelerate the cooling process. This increases the performance of the air conditioner, providing high performance and maximum efficiency.
The advantages of the Air to Air conditioners are:

  • Excellent performance and efficiently.
  • Continuous performance without having to empty the tank.
