Yes, this is normal. The coffee maker delivers water into the disposal container after each brewing and rinsing cycle. It is also normal to see some residual ground coffee on this container as it comes in contact with water during brewing operations.

Note that if a drink is cancelled during the brewing process the coffee grounds, mixed with water, move directly into the disposal container.

We recommend cleaning each container every time the unit alerts you.
