Coffee is spilling inside my machine when I use ground coffee. Why is this?

There will be a small amount of spillage, but if it is excessive please check the following:

-The coffee needs to be added after the machine is switched to pre-ground mode. If added before it will simply fall through the machine.

-Only one scoop of coffee should be added. Any more will cause spillage. Less may not be recognised by the machine.
