How do I make a ristretto?


-Espresso glass7g

- Freshly Ground Coffee

- Aim for 15 seconds extraction time, to deliver 20-25ml

- Sugar to taste

The Ristretto is the shortest and most intense shot of espresso but contains less caffeine as caffeine increases with the water quantity. It is traditionally served in Italy as a quick pick-me-up after lunch or dinner. It is an espresso but only the first 20-25ml of delivery. It is best served in a pre-heated espresso cup. Add sugar to taste and for a more mellow flavour.
