What is a convector heater and how does it work?

Convection heaters operate on the principle that the room air is drawn to the unit from underneath where a heating element is located.
The air passes over the heating element and rises out through the top of the unit back into the room as warmed air.
They are light, easy to carry, and some models can be wall mounted.
Some models come with fan assisted features to speed up heat distribution.
