What is a convector heater and how does it work?

The air passes over the heating element and rises out through the top of the unit back into the room as warmed air. They are light, easy to carry, and some models can be wall mounted. Some models come with fan assisted features to speed up heat distribution.

What does the " HT " error message mean on my HCX9115E convector heater?

The " HT " error message means something is causing the unit to overheat. It stands for High Temperature. To clear this error message, make sure the unit is not covered by anything such as clothes or drapery if it is hung on the wall. If the unit is being used on the floor, please make sure the feet are properly assembled on the unit. If the feet are not properly assembled, the air cannot pass through the unit which will cause overheating. I have set my 24 hour timer on my portable heater but it does not keep the accurate time?

The 24 hour timer will keep accurate time "only" while the product is plugged in and has power. In the event you unplug the unit, the timer will stop and requires resetting.

Can I use a Smart Plug to run my De’ Longhi Heater?

If your DeLonghi heater has an electronic digital display, NO, you cannot use a Smart Plug as it will not be able to turn on the unit. If your unit is "Non Digital" meaning it has a dial or knob you can set to turn it on, then YES you can set it to the ON position and control it using a Smart Plug schedule. Please note: the wattage of the Smart Plug MUST be suitable to accommodate the wattage of the unit you are using it on.
