Types of milk

LatteCrema system was designed to work flawlessly with all kinds of milk, from dairy variants (whole and semi-skimmed, pasteurized fresh milk and low-fat milk) to plant-based alternatives (soy, oats and almond), giving the same results. Plant-based milks are typically lower in saturated fat and calories than dairy milk and are also a good option for those who have milk allergies or lactose intolerance.

How to pair

Whereas cow’s milk tends to be neutral at the palate, plant-based milks have distinct flavour profiles. Choosing the right plant-based milk to blend with your coffee depends on the variety of the beans you’ve selected and their level of roasting - all you need to do is get a little familiar with the flavour profiles of the various coffees and mix accordingly.

Fruity Arabica from East Africa

Arabica coffees from East Africa have floral and fruity aromas with a pleasant acidic taste, pairing best with plant-based milks made with oat and almond.

Sweet Arabica from South America

Arabica Coffees from Central and South America have sweet nut and bakery aromas, pairing well with plant-based milks made with soy, oats and almond.

Bitter Arabica from Asia and Robusta

Arabica coffees from Asia and all Robusta origins are more bitter with intense bakery, cocoa, pipe tobacco and spicy aromas pairing well with plant-based milks made with soy and oats.
