How much does it cost to run my oil filled radiator heater?

It is very difficult to accurately determine how much it costs to run a heater within your own environment. It depends largely on the type of house, size of room and quality of insulation.However the maximum the heater will cost will per 1unit of electricity per hour, per kilowatt of heat. For example, if you have a1500 W heater the maximum it will use is 1.5 energy units per hour. Oil filled radiators are more economical to run because they retain heatlonger and power demand through the temperature control is called upon less frequently. Electric heaters heat only the room you are in and not the entire house, providing extra heat only where required and helping to optimise energy consumption.Electricity costs vary across suppliers. If you check your bill you will be able to find out how much you are paying per unit of electricity.

Will an oil filled radiator suit my needs?

Oil filled radiators are ideal for larger areas such as living rooms or any area needing constant temperature and are set on wheels for portability.They operate by heating oil sealed within the unit, this heat transfers to the outer metal surfaces to heat the surrounding air. The heated air rises to be replaced by cooler air leading to a slow warm air circulation in what is known as a convection cycle. This gives an even, comfortable temperature around the room.Oil filled radiators will not immediatley heat an area you need to run the unit for a while depending the room size. An internal thermal control only calls for power after the oil temperature eventually drops. Many models have a timer and ECO functions for increased user control.Once switched off, the radiator will retain the heat releasing it slowly to give a gradual temperature reduction to the room.

When programming the timer settings, you need to choose and set a temperature for the entire 24 hour period. The unit will confirm the settings are correct when you hear a long beeping sound.

What do the codes T1 and T2 on my Dragon 4 pro mean?

T1 and T2 are two individual timer settings that allow you to set two separate temperatures during a 24 hour period. For example: T1 can be set to 72 F (22 C) during the morning hours of 5 AM to 9AM, and set from 6PM to 5AM at the same 72 F (22 C). T2 can be set to 66 F (18 C) from 9AM until 6PM while you are not home. This example is showing how you use two separate temperature settings during a 24 hour period. *Please note: T2 is always used for the lowest temperature setting*

The 24 hour timer will keep accurate time "only" while the product is plugged in and has power. In the event you unplug the unit, the timer will stop and requires resetting.

Can I use a Smart Plug to run my De’ Longhi Heater?

If your DeLonghi heater has an electronic digital display, NO, you cannot use a Smart Plug as it will not be able to turn on the unit. If your unit is "Non Digital" meaning it has a dial or knob you can set to turn it on, then YES you can set it to the ON position and control it using a Smart Plug schedule. Please note: the wattage of the Smart Plug MUST be suitable to accommodate the wattage of the unit you are using it on.
