The yellow carafe icon indicates that the milk carafe needs to be cleaned. To clean the carafe, you need to turn the dial to the 'clean' position. The carafe will automatically rinse and stop when it’s completed. Once its finished,  turn the dial back to your desired foam level for the next use.
