La Specialista Touch: Milk does not froth

Use the right type of milk and temperature:

  • For the best results, ensure you use the appropriate type of milk for your drinks. We suggest using semi-skimmed milk or other plant-based drinks such as Soy, Oat and Almond.
  • Keep the milk at refrigerator temperature (about 4-6°C/39-43°F).

Clean the steam wand, it may be dirty:

  • Clean it thoroughly after every use by removing any milk residue with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Wait for the steam wand to cool down, then use the cleaning needle provided by your machine to clear the nozzle hole.
  • When you turn the steam to “OFF,” the steam wand will release a small amount of hot water and steam to clean the inner steam circuit.

Plant-based drinks tips:

  • For optimal results, keep plant-based drinks at refrigerator temperature (about 4-6°C/39-43°F).
  • Adjust the type and amount of froth as suggested on the display.
  • For best results, we suggest using Soy, Oat and Almond beverages.

“Manual” frothing procedure tips:

  • To achieve the best froth in manual mode, place the milk pitcher under the steam wand and set it to “M”.
  • Position the nozzle on the surface of the milk and press the "play" arrow (►) on the screen to start frothing.
  • Keep the steam nozzle just on the surface to avoid large bubbles from too much air.
  • Insert the steam nozzle just below the milk to create a vortex.
  • When the temperature and foam reach your desired level, stop frothing by pressing the “stop” symbol (■) on the screen.
