  1. Put ground beef, egg, grated cheese, salt and pepper, bread crumbs and parsley in a prep bowl and mix with your hands or a spoon until uniform. Shape into 16 meatballs.
  2. Remove paddle from bowl.
  3. Chop onion and slice garlic and place in bottom of bowl with oil. Season with salt and pepper. With paddle in machine, close lid, set power level to position 4, press bottom heating element button and press the on/off button. Sauté for 3 minutes and stir 1 time during cooking.
  4. Add meatballs and cook for 8-10 minutes until browned. Use tongs to turn meatballs halfway through cooking to brown evenly.
  5. Add frozen peas, tomatoes and sugar and cook for 12-15 minutes until sauce has thickened, stirring 2-3 times during cooking.

  • parsley: 1 tbsp
  • onion: 1/2 medium onion (1/2 cup chopped)
  • garlic cloves: 2
  • olive oil: Level 5
  • frozen peas: 1/2 cup
  • canned diced tomatoes: 28 oz. can
  • sugar: 1 teaspoon
