Caramelised Pineapple with Ice Cream

  • fresh-cut pineapple: 4 (1" thick) slices
  • unsalted butter: 2 Tbs.
  • packed light brown sugar: 1/4 cup
  • vanilla ice cream: 1 cup

  1. Remove the paddle from the Multifry bowl. Add the butter and close the lid. Set the thermostadt to position 4. Press the bottom heating element button and press the on/off button.
  2. Heat the butter until melted and bubbly. Add the pineapple and cook until lightly browned, 2 - 3 minutes per side.
  3. Sprinkle the pineapple evenly with the brown sugar. Close the lid and continue to cook, turning once halfway through cooking time, until the pineapple is nicely glazed, about 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the pineapple slices to each of 4 dessert plates; top each serving with 1/4 cup ice cream. Drizzle each serving with any remaining glaze in the bowl.
