  1. Insert paddle in bowl.
  2. Dice celery, peel and dice carrot and dice onion. Arrange on bottom of bowl; add oil.
  3. Close lid, set power level to position 4, press bottom heating element button and press the on/off button. Sauté for 10 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking.
  4. Add ground meat and cook for another 10 minutes, stirring after 5 minutes, to break up any large clumps of meat that might have formed.
  5. Add tomato sauce, salt and pepper and cook for another 40 minutes, stirring with a wooden spoon 3-4 times during cooking. Serve over hot pasta.
