Coffee roll

  1. Mix the flour with the yeast and a pinch of salt
  2. Sift the flour and add the butter to form a dough
  3. Mix the milk, coffee, molasses and a bit of sugar in a separate bowl
  4. Add this mixture to the dough, work to blend, and spread the dough in a baking tin. Spread with butter and dust with cocoa powder and the remaining sugar
  5. Roll it up to form a log and then cut into round slices. Place the slices cut-side down, and not touching one another, in a baking pan
  6. Bake in a hot oven for about ten minutes.


  • 240 g of flour
  • 2 tsp of baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60 g butter
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 40 ml of espresso coffee
  • 3 tbsp of molasses
  • Sugar
  • Cocoa powder for dusting
