  1. Put the meat, wheat, onion, salt and pepper in a food processor and blend until the mixture is smooth (add a little ice water to moisten).
  2. Insert the paddle in the bowl.
  3. Prepare the filling: put oil in the bottom of the bowl and spread the chopped onion evenly inside.
  4. Close the lid, set the thermostat to position 4, press the bottom heating element button and press the on/off button. Sauté for 5 min.
  5. Add the meat and cook for another 10 min (use a wooden spoon to break up any large chunks of meat).
  6. Season with salt and pepper, add the toasted pine nuts and spices and cook for another 5 min.
  7. Now prepare the Kibbe: wet hands with cold water, make a ball with the mixture and make an indentation in the centre for the filling.
  8. Fill each ball with a teaspoon of filling then pinch the top to seal and form a point to create an egg shape.
  9. Repeat the operation
  10. Remove the paddle from the bowl.
  11. Put the Kibbe inside the bowl, add the oil, close the lid, set the thermostat to position 4, press the bottom heating element button and press the on/off button. Cook for 8 minutes.
  12. Turn the meatballs and cook for another 7 min.
  13. Serve hot.

  • minced beef or lamb: 500gr
  • chopped onion: 1
  • salt: 1 teaspoon
  • pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
  • kibbe spices *: 1 teaspoon
  • ice water: to taste

  • kibbe spices *: 1/2 teaspoon
  • ground cinnamon: 1/2 teaspoon
  • sunflower oil (to cook the filling): lev 4
  • salt: to taste
  • pepper: to taste
  • sunflower oil (for frying): lev 5
