Ingredients

  • Sausages: 8
  • Bacon slices: 8
  • Onion: 100 g
  • Thyme: to taste
  • Oil: lev. 5
  • Ingredients for the batter:
  • Italian flour (type 00): 130 gr
  • Baking powder: 2 gr
  • Whole eggs: 1
  • Egg - yolk: 1
  • Milk: 200 ml
  • Water: 100 ml
  • Salt: to taste
  • Pepper: to taste

Method

  1. Prepare the batter; beat all of the ingredients together until it is uniform and without lumps. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest for about 10 minutes.
  2. Remove the paddle from the bowl.
  3. Thinly slice the onion and lay it in the bottom of the bowl along with the oil. Wrap each sausage in the bacon and lay them on top of the onions with a few sprigs of fresh thyme. Pour in 100 ml of water.
  4. Close the lid, select the OVEN program, set power level 2, set 25 minutes and press the program start/stop button.
  5. Cook for 15 minutes, turn the sausages and cook for another 10 mins.
  6. When finished, open the lid, pour the batter on top of the sausages, close the lid, select the AIRGRILL program, set power level 3, set 20 minutes and press the program start/stop button.
  7. Serve the Toad in the Hole while hot.
