  1. Peel the potatoes, onion and carrot and wash thoroughly.
  2. Using a food processor, julienne all of the vegetables and put in a large bowl.
  3. Add the egg, salt and flour (the amount of flour can vary depending on how moist the vegetables are) and mix well.
  4. Remove the paddle from the bowl.
  5. Line the bottom with greaseproof paper and pour a little of the batter on top, flatting it down with a spoon.
  6. Fill the space inside the bowl (about 5-6 deruni at a time).
  7. Close the lid, set the thermostat dial to position 4, press the bottom heating element button and press the on/off button
  8. Cook for 10-12 minutes depending on the desired degree of browning.
  9. Once there is no more batter, remove the greaseproof paper, oil the bottom of the bowl and sauté the previously cooked deruni for another 2 minutes per side.
