  1. Clean Brussels sprouts removing the outer leaves and trimming the hard bottom. Cook in boiling water for about 5 minutes until bright green and softened. Drain, toss in olive oil and set aside.
  2. Insert the paddle in the bowl.
  3. Cut bacn into 1/2-inch pieces. Arrange bacon in bottom of bowl, close lid, set power level to position 3, press bottom heating element button and press the on/off button. Sauté for 5 min. (If bacon is fatty, use a paper towel to soak up some of the excess fat.)
  4. Add sprouts, salt and cook for another 10 minutes, depending on size of the sprouts. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm.


  • Brussels sprouts: 1 lb
  • olive oil: 1 tbsp
  • bacon: 5 slices, about 5 oz
