Hazelnut fregolotta (biscuit-like cake)

Ingredients

  • Plain white flour: 200 gr
  • Sugar: 150 gr
  • Melted butter: 100 gr
  • Hazelnuts: 100 gr
  • Egg: 1
  • Packet of baking powder: 1/2

Method

  1. Chop the hazelnuts (but not too fine). Melt the butter and allow to cool slightly. Put all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well without compacting.
  2. Remove the paddle from the bowl.
  3. Put the baking paper inside the bowl and spread the dough over the entire area, pressing down with your fingers.
  4. Close the lid, set the thermostat dial to position 3, press the bottom heating element button and press the on/off button. Cook for 15 min. and then turn the cake 180°.
  5. Cook for another 5 min.
  6. Allow to cool and sprinkle the cake with icing sugar.
