Chicken with almonds

Ingredients

  • chicken breast: 750 gr
  • peeled almonds: 150 gr
  • onion: 1
  • fresh grated ginger: 1 tablespoon
  • sunflower oil: lev 5
  • soy sauce: 80 gr
  • water: to taste

Method

  1. Insert the paddle in the bowl.
  2. Pour the almonds in the bowl and spread over the bottom. Close the lid, select the "OVEN" program, set power level 3, set 4 minutes and press the program start/stop button.
  3. Remove the almonds and put the chopped onion and ginger in the bowl along with the oil, close the lid, select the "POT" program, set power level 4, set 30 minutes and press the program start/stop button.
  4. After about 2 minutes, add the lightly floured chicken, salt and pepper and cook for another 16 min.
  5. Add the soy sauce, a ladle-full of hot water, the toasted almonds and cook until the sauce has thickened.
