It is a sweet from unleavened dough cutted into long strias. It was very popular at the South of Russia in XVIII century, it was borrowed from Greece cookery. From XVII century it was also spread to the Ukraine under the name “Verguni”.
How to cook:
Carefully mix eggs, sour cream, salt and flour. Then to roll out dough thin, cut into long strias and make bows from it.
After it to put it into the Fryer and cook till it gone gold. Afterwards put it on the paper towel (for the oil to flow down), then put it on another towel and strew it with the sugar powder
