Electricity is a precious energy source that we need to use wisely and safeguard always

  • Switch off your appliances completely when not needed.

  • Remember not to leave the appliances on standby, especially when you are not at home.

  • Close your curtains at dusk to keep the heat in and leave them open when sunlight comes in. Keep doors and windows closed if heating is required. When The weather is cold, air from outside can have a big impact on energy consumption.

  • Turn your thermostat down, especially during nighttime. Reducing room temperature by 1°C could cut your heating bills by up to 10 percent

    Set your thermostat as low as is comfortable. Thermostat can be set lower when a home or room is unoccupied.

  • Wear warm layered clothing indoors during cold weather. Some some modern fabrics used in new clothes are ideal for thermal insulation.

  • Remember that zone heating is energy efficient because it heats only those areas of your house in which there are people

    If possible upgrade the insulation in your home. In particular the attic and all outside walls.

    Place the heater close to you to maximize the temperature accuracy of the thermostat.

  • Keep the doors of unoccupied rooms closed in order to avoid heat loss.
